Basic information
- The course is designed for foreign students who have a solid knowledge of a different Slavic language (native speakers do not need to prove the knowledge, non-native speakers need to provide an internationally recognized language certificate at the minimal level of C1 according to the CEFRL), or Czech (necesary to provide an internationally recognized language certificate at the minimal level of A2 according to the CEFRL), who wish to study in Czech study programs at Czech universities. It is designed as a one-year course with daily lessons of language preparation (or vocational preparation) for studying an accredited study program organized by a public university.
- The course runs for two semesters (i.e. 2 x 14 weeks) and includes 20 lessons of Czech languag per week. The lessons are held according to the schedule on the JU premises.
- Our specialized, experienced, and friendly instructors will help you acquire the skills to communicate in the Czech language as required not only for admission to universities, but also for everyday life in the Czech Republic. The course will prepare you for the internationally recognized CCE examinations at the level B1/B2 according to CEFR (details → here), which is organized by the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies at Charles University.
- At the end of the course, participants will receive a certificate of attendance indicating the achieved language level according to the CEFR.
