Svět soběslavských měšťanů ve světle jejich testamentů 1549-1651
Diplomová práce Svět soběslavských měšťanů ve světle jejich testamentů (1549-1651) se zabývá testamenty, které se pro sledované období a město dochovaly ve Státním okresním archivu v Táboře. Úvodní část je věnována rozboru testamentů jako soukromoprávních pramenů po formální stránce. Následující kapitola nastiňuje vztah raně novověkého člověka k Bohu a jeho vnímání smrti, svého těla i duše. Poté je nahlédnuto do měšťanské domácnosti, jejího vybavení a finančního hospodaření. Provedena byla profesní a sociální stratifikace měšťanů. Předposlední kapitola se věnuje raně novověkým rodinným vztahům, pozornost byla orientována na vztah mezi mužem a ženou, dětmi a ostatními příbuznými či nepříbuznými členy rodiny. Závěr sleduje církevní život ve městě s detailnějším pohledem na osudy dvou soběslavských kněží.
"The World of Burghers of Soběslav in their Testaments (1549-1651)" was based on analyses of men and women last wills from the period of 1549 to 1651 that were found in State District Archive (Státní okresní archiv) in Tábor. First, they were seen as parts of the testamentary praxis in Bohemia in 16th and 17th centuries. Then, the attention was placed on questions about the images of God and death. As the most important part of testaments was the distribution of burgher's property, it could be looked into his or her household, its furnishings and financial housekeeping. The burghers were also divided according to their property and occupation. The distribution among the nuclear family, relatives and other people showed the relationships both in Soběslav and the dominium of last Rožmberks. The position of men, women and children was dealt as well. In last chapter the attention was paid to the church life in the town. The lives of two priests of Soběslav were presented and compared with lives of other burghers.
