The programme Teacher Training for Upper Secondary Schools in Spanish is offered as a Consecutive Master's dual specialisation degree course. It links the philological-didactic component provided by the Institute of Romance Studies at the Faculty of Arts USB and pedagogical and psychological component provided by the experts at the Faculty of Education of the University of South Bohemia. The specialisation is designed to provide the graduate with full qualification to work as a Spanish teacher at upper secondary schools.

The Master's programme will provide graduates with practical language and communicative skills corresponding to level C2 of the Common European Framework of Reference. They will extend their system knowledge of Spanish language based on modern approaches to scientific description of languages. Systematic synchronic study of language phenomena is also enriched with diachronic aspects. Drawing on the courses completed in the Bachelor's degree programme, the graduates will extend their knowledge of the history of Spanish and Hispanic American literature. Graduates will also have acquired essential knowledge and skills in didactics and methodology of teaching Spanish, with emphasis placed on the development of the graduate's creative abilities and practical application of didactic theory. Graduates will also have acquired the necessary knowledge of psychology and pedagogy specific for the target group - upper secondary school students.

Graduates will be fully qualified to practice as upper secondary school teachers.
