Specialisation Description

The Master's degree programme History (both single-specialisation and dual specialisation) deeply enhances the knowledge and skills gained during Bachelor's degree studies in the field of Historical Sciences, so that its graduates are able to find employment in scientific institutions dealing with historical research as well as in institutions aimed at protecting the remnants of the past and their presentation. The Master's programme, in addition to the necessary practical application of the theoretical knowledge, also prepares students for further education.

Graduate profile

The aim of the programme is to prepare University graduates capable of independent scientific work in the field of history, understanding historiography, contemporary methodology of historical science and capable of practical application of acquired knowledge. Graduates will be ready to work in scientific institutions dealing with basic historical research and in institutions for preservation and presentation of cultural heritage (museums, galleries, monuments, tourism), but also in state administration and self-government (culture, and regional development of regional and municipal authorities, regional development agencies, etc.).
