Specialisation Description
 


The programme aims to provide students with basic knowledge of history of humanity from prehistory to the present and equip them with the theoretical and methodological knowledge necessary for independent professional work in historical sciences. At the same time, the programme provides insight into possible practical applications of historical sciences so that graduates can find employment even without consecutive Master's study (in museums, galleries, heritage institutes, tourism, state administration and local government institutions).

The aim of the programme is to provide university graduates able to apply theoretical knowledge of history in practice, especially in institutions dealing with the protection and presentation of cultural heritage (museums, galleries, heritage institutes, tourism), but also in state administration and self-government institutions (cultural departments, monument care and regional development of regional and municipal authorities, regional development agencies, etc.). Graduates can also continue in consecutive Master's programme in History (both single-specialisation and dual specialisation) or the Teacher Training for Upper Secondary Schools in History.
